Blue Wedding Flowers

The color blue conveys the tranquility of a pristine ocean, the uplifting spirit of a sun-filled sky or the confidence of a blue-ribbon victory. With symbolism ranging from faithfulness and loyalty to intelligence and peace, blue flowers add a cool and calm beauty to any floral arrangement. In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away.
Blue is a rare color in a garden and therefore a rare color in a florist’s cooler. If, however, you do need a few suggestions for some blue flowers that are available here for you to choose from, here is a brief list… Aganpanthus, Bachelor buttons, Delphinium, Hydrangea, Eucalyptus, Iris, Monkshood, Nigella, Statice, Forget-Me-Nots, Violets. These flowers are all natural shades of blue. My recommendation, when it comes to blue wedding flowers, is to go natural. You can never go wrong when you choose something Mother Nature has created.
A deep royal blue or azure conveys richness and perhaps even a touch of superiority. Navy blue is almost black and is a bit warmer than lighter blues. Combine a light and dark blue flowers to convey trust and truthfulness. Although blue is a year-round color, pastel blues, especially along with pinks and pale yellows suggest Springtime while deep blue is a colder weather color. Create a conservative but sophisticated look in your flower arrangements with subtle contrast by combining light and dark shades of blue.

Yellow flowers can lighten blue ones, especially if you are going with the darker shades of blue like indigo or navy. Using the same flower like Iris in both blue and yellow would both unify and decorate your reception area. Also, picking up some yellow will allow you to use gold toned accents more easily. This could be helpful if your dress is more of an ivory shade, you want gold candle holders, or if silver just isn’t your thing.
Blue feels cool, calming, relaxing and refreshing. It can be found from the blue water in the ocean to the blue skies. Blue also symbolizes protection, clarity, creativity and metal supremacy. There are many beautiful and lovely flowers that come in blue. Delphinium, larkspur, hyacinth, pansies, anemone, iris, ageratum, lobelia, veronica and bluebells are very beautiful flowers which come in blue.
Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. A wedding tradition that we are more than familiar with and one that a lot of brides still do follow, whether they do it because they are very traditional, or because they think it would be a fun thing to do. And another fun thing to do would be to do something completely different and try having a wedding bouquet made out of blue silk wedding flowers or simply have blue flowers as part of your wedding decorations. That could be your something blue.

You don’t have to shy away at the though of having blue silk wedding flowers at your wedding. Why not? They could actually look incredibly pretty if you know how to pick just the right kind of blue to match the rest of your wedding décor. You don’t have to go for an outrageous, gaudy blue color. Instead, you could try a subtle, light blue or baby blue kind of blue, perhaps even a light pastel colored kind of blue. A soft, simply and understated blue shade is what you need to have just the perfect type of blue silk flowers at your wedding. You would be amazed at just how pretty they actually can look.
When we say that we like a certain color we are not aware of the fact that the specific color bears within itself symbolic meanings. We simply like that color because we have noticed at a certain moment of our life that we look well whenever we are dressed in an outfit that is made out of the fabric that is painted in that color, or because we have seen some gemstones to have that color and we decided that the color looks great, and so on.
This lovely combination between the white and blue shades is absolutely mesmerizing because both these colors are delicate, pure and innocent. We think that there is no other color that can work so well with the classic white nuance. This is exactly why we’ve chosen this theme, because there are many brides out there afraid to try something very dynamic, bold and challenging. In this context, these white and blue wedding flower arrangements and bouquets posted here can make enchanting choices for all classic or modern brides who are planning a distinctive yet very dainty and stylish wedding.
